Commission authorization of amended complaint filing: The Commission has authorized the staff to file an amended complaint in the matter currently pending against Express Consolidation, Inc.; Randall L. Leshin; Randall L. Leshin, P.A., d/b/a Express Consolidation; Consumer Credit Consolidation, Inc.; and Maureen A. Gaviola. The original complaint against the defendants, announced by the FTC in January 2007, charges them with deceptive marketing of debt consolidation services and abusive telemarketing practices. Through the amended complaint, which can be found on the FTC’s Web site and as a link to this press release, the staff has added Charles Ferdon, vice president of Express Consolidation, Inc., as a defendant in this matter. The Commission vote authorizing the filing of the amended complaint was 5-0.
