FTC Leads Operation Stolen Hope to Stop Fraud and Help Troubled Homeowners
As part of a federal/state law enforcement initiative, there will be a joint press conference in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Tuesday, November 24, 2009, at 1 p.m., Pacific Standard Time to announce an effort to crack down on mortgage-related scams. U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Â鶹´«Ã½ Trade Commission Chairman Jon Leibowitz, U.S. Assistant Attorney General Tony West, Nevada Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto, and Marietta Rodriguez of NeighborWorks America, will be available to answer reporters’ questions.
