As part of its continuing effort to protect consumers from financial fraud and keep them informed, the Â鶹´«Ã½ Trade Commission will be joined by the U.S. Department of Justice to discuss a major enforcement action involving the debt collection industry. The Director of the FTC's Bureau of Consumer Protection and the Assistant Attorney General for DOJ's Civil Division will co-host a call-in media availability on Monday, January 30, 2012, at 11 am E.T. to explain the significance of this case against a national debt-collection operation, as well as the impact the agencies' action will have on consumers.
