Consumer advocates, industry representatives, government regulators, technologists, and academics will take part in the upcoming workshop, "Paper, Plastic . . . or Mobile? An FTC Workshop on Mobile Payments," which will be held at the Â鶹´«Ã½ Trade Commission Conference Center at 601 New Jersey Avenue, N.W., in Washington, DC on April 26, 2012.
The workshop, which is free and open to the public, will examine a wide range of issues, including the technology and business models used in mobile payments and the consumer protection issues raised.
