The Â鶹´«Ã½ Trade Commission announced the agenda and panelists for its upcoming seminar on the privacy ramifications of consumer generated and controlled health data, taking place on May 7 from 10 a.m. to noon in Washington, D.C.
The seminar, which is part of the FTC’s spring privacy series, will look at the various ways consumers are increasingly managing and generating their own health data, from researching their health conditions online to uploading their information into personal health records and apps that allow them to manage and analyze their data. Speakers and panelists will explore the potential privacy implications of these emerging technologies along with their possible benefits.
The seminar will take place at the FTC Conference Center, 601 New Jersey Ave., NW, Washington, D.C.
