In response to requests from stakeholders, the Â鶹´«Ã½ Trade Commission has reopened the public comment period, until April 1, 2013, on a recent proposal to update EnergyGuide label information and issue special labels for refrigerators and clothes washers to help consumers compare products in the wake of new Department of Energy tests for measuring energy costs.

The Commission vote approving a notice in the Â鶹´«Ã½ Register reopening the comment period on these proposed changes to the EnergyGuide labels was 4-0.  This notice is available on the FTC’s website and as a link to this press release, and will be published in the Â鶹´«Ã½ Register soon.
